Eugene Pugachov and Chris Wright arrived at our doorstep during a performance by Stefan Bauer’s Voyage West. They came, instruments in hand to support their friend and band member, Chris Bacus. After the show, Eugene expressed interest in performing at the Homestead. He sent me some material to watch/listen to and I was sold! Besides featuring Chris Bacus, Saxophonist Extraordinaire, the compositions are beautiful, flowing pieces that require the full range of possibilities from each player and each instrument. I have since listened to many of this Quartet’s YouTube selections and strongly recommend that you join us for what will undoubtedly be an unforgettable night of Jazz at the Homestead!
